Fortnite Season 8 is coming to an end and so is Fortnite Chapter 2. Tomorrow, a new Fortnite event will transition the free-to-play battle royale game to Chapter 3. While leaks have leaked a little bit about the new season, there's still plenty of mystery going into the end of Season 8 and the start of Chapter 3. For example, we don't know what the new map is going to look like, and right now, there's building speculation that the third chapter of the game will bring back the old map. The newest Fortnite map is here, and rather than being a small update between seasons we've got a completely fresh reboot for Chapter 3.
If you want to get up to speed on the new battleground, then here's a rundown of the biggest Fortnite map changes for the new chapter. Supporting the shorter downtime, tipster @iFireMonkeytweeted on December 5, 2021, that players can expect to see Chapter 3 as soon as tomorrow, i.e. As the game is back online, Fortnite Chapter 3 Battle Pass will also be revealed, along with multiple new elements and skins in the game. Ever since Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 ended, #FortniteFlippedhas been trending on Twitter, as the island was flipped upside down in the Season 8 finale. Stay tuned for more details on when will Fortnite Chapter 3 start and other gaming news.
Fortnite Chapter 3 begins very soon, more than two years after the infamous black hole swallowed the battle royale universe to kick off Chapter 2 in 2019. According to the latest leaks, rumors, and official announcements, Chapter 2 will be two seasons shorter than its predecessor despite lasting for longer overall. Details remain scarce, but here's everything we know about Battle Royale's next big overhaul with regard to important dates, skins, and features fans might see in the new map. Fortnite fans shall note that Chapter 2, along with Season 8 Battle Pass ended on December 4, 2021.
From previous downtimes, it is clear that Fortnite will take some time to make necessary changes to its servers and prepare the game for the next chapter. At the end of Chapter 2, players witnessed the Cube Queen opening an extradimensional portal, allowing alien ships to enter the island. At the end of the season finale, the Fortnite island flipped and landed on water upside-down. Fortnite seems to have launched a new website, which carries the name Flip The Island and is expected to reveal more details shortly.
Speaking of Spider-man, the season 1 battle pass will include a Spider-man outfit that players can unlock. There are also two variants shown in the trailer featuring black and white spidey suits. Another new set of skins shown in the trailer includes characters from Epic Games' Gears Of War franchise. The battle pass will also have the mysterious vigilante The Foundation, who was recently revealed to be Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The closest comparison is probably the live event that brought the original version of Fortnite to a close back in October 2019.
That event surprised players with a black hole that sucked up the entire Fortnite island, effectively rendering the game unplayable for two days before Fortnite Chapter 2 began. One big change is that players will have more ways to earn battle pass XP outside of the battle royale mode. Typically, if you wanted to earn battle pass stars/XP, you were restricted to playing in one of the normal battle royale modes, or the 50 vs. 50 Team Rumble. Presumably, this means you can earn XP in alternate modes like Creative and LTMs. That will be great for players who want to earn higher-level skins, but don't have the interest or skill for intensely competitive multiplayer stuff. Fortnite maps have always been a stand-out feature of the game and Epic has taken a different route than most other battle royale games.
Instead of giving players different maps at once, the developers bring a brand new map for every Chapter. With Fortnite Chapter 3 on the horizon, players are on the lookout for a new map to play on. Fortnite has just gone through one of its biggest, world-changing events yet.
The end of Chapter 2 saw Fortnite's map flipped on itself, prepping the game for an all-new map in Chapter 3. However, while Epic Games had the opportunity to reinvent Fortnite with the chapter shift, some things are more familiar than expected. Watchful Fortnite fans looking at Chapter 3's map noticed something interesting buried beneath the snow. With the clarity of leaks looking deeper into the Season, Fortnite insiders believe Tilted Towers is making yet another return. Fortnite Chapter 3 release date is one of the most discussed topics on the internet right now. Some data minders say that the game will be back online with a new chapter and Fortnite Chapter 3 battle pass on Tuesday, December 7.
It is one of the safest guesses as Fortnite generally brings new updates to the game on Tuesdays. Those who have been playing Fortnite for a while should know that Fortnite was down for less than two days after Chapter 1 was concluded. Some notable locations include The Sanctuary, home to The Seven, and The Daily Bugle, the famous newspaper headquarters in Spider-Man. There are plenty more locations worth visiting, like Greasy Grove or Shift Shafts, so be sure to check out the new chapter to explore and discover new animals and NPCs. As the snow melts, it's rumored that island secrets may be revealed, too.
Is Fortnite Chapter 1 Coming Back One new feature this time around is the implementation of the coveted crown. If you place "highly enough" in a battle royale match, you'll start the next one with a crown on your head, indicating that you're a good player. You'll need to place within the top four in Solos, top two in Duos, and first place in Trios and Squads to earn a crown. While this is a great way to earn some bragging rights, it's also a target for other players, as the crown shines and makes you stand out. If you win a match while wearing a crown, you earn an exclusive emote. As always, XP is the name of the game, and during chapter 3, you'll now be able to earn experience as part of the creative mode, as well as the standard battle royale.
This will give players much more freedom and incentive to play how they want without feeling like they're locked to a specific mode. One of the most noticeable changes during chapter 3, at least aesthetically, is that much of the map is now covered in snow. You'll even find bushes with Christmas lights on them that will presumably be around for the duration of season 1. Interestingly, the majority of the island is filled with snow, overshadowing the smaller desert and grassy biomes on the outskirts of the map. Expect various weather types, including tornadoes and even lighting throughout the duration of the chapter.
Beyond visual changes, the new chapter 3 map has structural alterations, too. After weeks of leaks and teases, Fortnite chapter 3 is finally here. Referred to as Fortnite Chapter 3 Flipped, this new update has a substantial amount of changes, not just in terms of gameplay, but also aesthetically and narratively. With it being a new chapter, there's a lot to dive into, so even if you're a veteran player, there's a lot to learn when you start playing this time around.
While the game is fundamentally the same, there's enough here to keep things fresh, especially with the implementation of a fan-favorite Marvel hero. Sadly, the Epic Games website doesn't reveal the full season 1 battle pass, but it does hit the high points, showing off all of the skins available through it. In addition to the skins we listed above, players will be able to unlock the Shanta, Lt. John Llama, Gumbo, and Haven skins. Finally, it seems we can expect the map to change throughout the season. It'll be interesting to see how the map changes over the course of the season, along with how much of an impact that'll have on gameplay.
With Fortnite's climactic showdown with the Cube Queen now over, the game has undergone a rather dramatic change in the transition to Chapter 3. Of course, we wouldn't expect anything less when the transition from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2 brought similarly massive change. This time around, the map has been flipped upside down, giving players a whole new island to explore. Fortnite Chapter 3 is about to begin, to get things ready for the start of Chapter 3, Epic has taken the game offline for server maintenance. There's no official downtime schedule, although previous reports suggest the game will remain offline until at least December 6. The next chapter of Fortnite will bring significant updates, new islands, mechanics, and a Spider-Man skin.
The Chapter 1 map will probably return to Fortnite, but it may not start as the very first map.The live event starts on Saturday, December 4. It will most likely reveal the fate of the Fortnite island and we could get the new chapter three days later, on Tuesday, December 7. The next chapter of Fortnite will begin soon for players to begin their next adventures, and who knows what they may find on the island.
With the theme titled Out of Time, they planned from the beginning of the season to completely revamp the game inFortnite Chapter 2. A lot of players were left concerned when everything got sucked into a black hole at the end of the chapter, as we didn't hear any news for several days. Fortnite released a trailer showing highlights of the new chapter, including new skins, new weather conditions and map locations. Players will be allowed to customize and earn with this chapter's Battle Pass. In a significant shakeup to battle pass progression, Epic has revealed that Fortnite Creative now supports accolades and, by extension, battle pass XP. Creators will need to include accolades in the maps and modes they make in Creative, but still, that means you don't necessarily need to play battle royale just to level your battle pass.
The beginning of a new chapter for Fortnite needs a suitably big reveal, and that's what we got with Fortnite Chapter 3. Not only has the map been flipped, revealing an entirely new map on the other side, but Epic Games has also confirmed that Spider-Man will feature in the first season. This isn't just a skin, either, as players will be able to use Spider-Man's web-shooters to swing from buildings. Spider-Man's web-shooters can be equipped regardless of the skin you're wearing, so you don't have to dress up as Spider-Man before you can swing around. Searching around the new Island, there are hints at future map changes. Currently, half of the map is covered in snow - but this is expected to recede over the back half of this season in the new year.
When that happens, players expect a certain familiar clump of frozen rooftops to emerge from the ice - you can find them now just to the left of the new Island's centre. Fortnite's new chapter has begun and it brought with it a whole-new map. Fortnite's overhauled island features several new locations, new weather effects, and new weapons, but it's still a big ol' island Fortnite map, so it should still look familiar. It appears that Epic Games has accidentally leaked the video that was meant to be a teaser for Chapter 3. The video reveals many new things that will come to the game, including the original map. Many players have been asking Epic to bring this map back, and it appears that the game developer will do just that.
This is where the work of leaders, dataminers, and insiders comes into play. It's unofficially confirmed that the snow currently covering Chapter 3's map is going to melt week by week going forward, as it's only here for a brief seasonal celebration. That means Tilted Towers is going to be available this Season, as confirmed by a leaked map showing what everything looks like without all of the snow. If that wasn't enough, another leak teases that there are Fortnite challenges to be completed in Tilted Towers as soon as week 8. Players will have access to camps to store healing items and weapons.
Items stored in the camp will be transferable between matches, allowing players to keep special weapons ready to go. This could reduce the reliance on random luck that is present in battle royales. In 2019, over 200 million players had their accounts hacked, but there doesn't seem to be any added protection against hackers in this new season. This may change in future updates, as Epic wants to prevent bots or hackers from entering the game.
Notably, Chapter 2 Season 6 looked like it was going to bring big change. The start of the Primal season saw us ripped through different realities before settling on the Dino-themed map of bows and arrows. The map Is probably the single biggest and most important change coming with the new season.
That's unless you only play Fortnite to watch for the Default's fashion choices. Unlike Warzone, Apex, and PUBG, there's no multiple maps going on here. No matter how much the community wanted to revisit Chapter 1, Epic have kept it locked in their vault. This new map will probably be a different shape, layout and with different POIs.
Bit, but looking at past timing we can get a good sense for the Fortnite Chapter 3 release 3 date. It was the end of Season X when the original Fortnite jumped to Chapter 2, with a black hole event. However, a recent leak suggests it might actually be starting earlier.
Fortnite's biggest event and update to date probably came at the end of Fortnite Chapter 1, when the game began its second part. While seasonal updates come and go, Chapter 2 marked a massive change in how Fortnite played alongside its branding and even esports. Fortnite is currently wrapping up its 8th season of the second chapter. As you've probably seen in the marketing material, Spider-Man is the star of Fortnite chapter 3. It's surprising the web-slinger hasn't been featured in the game yet, but what better way to kick off a season than with one of the most iconic heroes of all time? And since Epic Games wants you to spend money, it's a pretty brilliant move to tie Spider-Man to the battle pass.
The thing is, Spider-Man is locked to page nine of the battle pass, requiring you to reach level 80, which will take a while. Spider-Man can swing around the map, and based on the footage we've seen so far, it looks surprisingly … amazing. Not only are there new areas and biomes, but the entire map has been flipped — hence the name Fortnite Chapter 3 Flipped. This serves as a major change, far different from what usually happens when a new season comes around. Typically, the map features multiple new areas, but the overall layout of the island often remains intact. This time around, you'll need to find your bearings, even if you're a Fortnite veteran.
For the past few years, Fortnite has managed to stay on top when it comes to the battle royale genre. Epic Games has ensured that there is no dearth of new content in the game with regular updates and events. Chapter 3 has brought various new additions to the game, including Spider-Man skins, along with new items and challenges in the Winterfest event. However, the servers sometimes go down for maintenance or other reasons.
As is customary, the Fortnite Chapter 3 battle pass also features a few original skins for players to earn. It would be weird for Fortnite to not include a battle pass for the inaugural season of Chapter 3, so of course they've got one ready. The official Polish Fortnite YouTube channel jumped the gun and posted its trailer early, and although it was quickly taken down players had already saved copies. When Chapter 2 arrived, Fortnite became a black hole for a day after a series of dimension-shattering rocket launches sucked everything into oblivion.
Following the finale of Chapter 2, players were left floating in the ocean. For the first time ever, you can also earn battle pass XP in other game modes, such as Creative, though Epic has gone to great lengths to prevent exploits in this regard. It should mean the game's best Creative codes get more mileage in Chapter 3.
The new island is tied closely to the season's battle pass, which prominently features Spider-Man. The arrival of Marvel's web-slinger has inspired his own location on the new map too. Among the largest Spider-Man references in Chapter 3 is the massive Daily Bugle office building. There are also other new areas like Sanctuary which serves as a base for The Seven — the secret organization behind some of the biggest events in the larger Fortnite narrative. Although we don't have confirmation from what's been revealed so far on the uncover the Island map, we know from leaks that the island from Loot Lake will return.
We're not sure if it'll be as it was in chapter 1, but I'm sure there'll be some happy players. The leak came out on December 2 and it has quickly spread over the internet. There are many new theories about Chapter 3 thanks to this leak, but most players are excited about the old map. Considering that the new chapter is close, we might see the original map very soon!
